Starting the Game

1. Reboot your computer.
2. Connect to the Internet.
3. Double-Click DarkAges.exe.
   An error occurs?
   • Screen flashes black for about a second and then the program quits.
   • Initialization error.
   • Dinput.dll file not found.
   • Win32Error: Operation completed successfully.
   • Error Code 2.
   • This program has performed an illegal operation.
   • DARKAGES caused an invalid page fault in module DARKAGES.EXE
4. A screen displays Connecting to Server...
   An error occurs?
   • A screen displays Connecting to server... and nothing else happens.
5. The Dark Ages Main Menu appears.
   • A dialog appears: Client outdated.
6. If you already have created a character, click Continue
7. Enter your character name and password.
   • Warning: You will never need to enter your password at any time. Do not give your password to anyone. That person is trying to steal your account.
   An error occurs?
   • The screen becomes black and nothing happens.
   • Incorrect password: You have entered your password incorrectly. Visit your account page to change your password. Review your account security.
   • Already playing.
   • Chaos prevents you from entering: The server your character is on is temporarily down. Please try again in a few minutes.
