The Sacrifice: Children at Astrid
... 99.10.01 through 99.10.03 Hesperos, bard of Undine describes the beginning: The new year has come, and with it my dread of my daughter's death. Villagers outside of Undine have heard the cries from the south. There, south of Undine, lies the sacred site none may enter. None have dared go to this site, Astrid. Its roads are older than man. None comprehend what made the etch upon the earth, the long straight ways refuse to let grass grow over them. Worse, Kobolds and Goblins gather at Astrid to celebrate Caroun in bloodshed. They shall sacrifice Kalliope, my daughter, and several sons and daughters of Undine if Aisling help cannot prevent it. Please come to me in Undine Tavern, on the south road of Undine. Then travel across the sacred pool and to Astrid, which is between Undine and Suomi. Be careful. There are strange shamans and cunning traps laying Kobolds and shaman. Be careful of the site, Astrid itself, too.
