TEMUAIR TIMES
A moon and a half ago, Nuadh Toiseach hosted the grand reopening of the Tulsi Brew in Piet. There were many Aislings and Mundanes alike in attendance, and all had fun. They drank wine and brandy, listened to stories and some poetry and talked some. Perhaps the most memorable part of the night was Shanira's fictional stories of herself and her friend Celestria. All in attendance enjoyed them both, and I believe I speak for all who were there when I say we hope she is there again next double-moon. Remember, all Aislings and Mundanes are welcome to attend. Just come on in, the drinks are on Nuadh Toiseach! ((The Tulsi Brew is held at Piet Tavern, every Sunday at 8pm Eastern, 5pm Pacific.))
For a fourth time, the second time this Deoch, the Deoch Fellowship board has been wiped clean of all posts. The first deletion of the posts was in mid Deoch 12, and then the end of Deoch 12. The third and the fourth deletions were done in the past 2 double-moons. Deoch priestess Layla Juniper is calling together a meeting between Deoch priests ((for this Saturday at 1pm eastern)) to discuss this problem. When asked who she feels keeps doing this, or even if it is done by the same Aisling, Layla states "I do not want to point the finger until I know for sure who has done it. When I find out who, I will confer with other Deoch priests on to how to handle the Aisling." I also questioned well known and very much respected Deoch priest Paladine, for his feelings about this matter. He had not much to say, except a sighed "Why ruin Deoch's light?" Priestess Morrigan also had few words. When asked if she felt Deoch would ever forgive the guilty Aisling, she responded "Deoch is not as forgiving as Glioca." To whom ever is deleting the posts from the board, how can you call yourself a priest of Deoch when you repeatedly desecrate the words of his followers?
Everyone is excited about all the new weapons being discovered in various parts of Temuair. What do they do? Where can we get them? Here is a selection of some new items. Some of the first weapons to be discovered came from the East Woodlands near Mileth. The goblins of East woods carry a number of intriguing objects that Aisling hunters may recover. The popular Goblin Helm provides a little extra protection for any Aisling over insight 50. The Wooden club is an astonishing weapon for any Aisling above insight 50. The Spiked Club is available for insight 66 Aislings, but actually is less effective in battle. The hatchet is a much simpler weapon and any Aisling above 13th insight may use it. Each of these three weapons are remarkable because they are so easy to use that wizards, rogues, and priests can use it without any fatigue interfering with traps or spells ((No Mana drain)). Also found in the woods, Vipers are said to leave eggs and Shriekers leave Mushrooms. These items have no known use yet, beyond making a delicious mushroom omelet. Pravat is another source of curious weapons. The Grimlok have a curved dagger usable by rogues of 30th insight and a stone axe which any Aisling of 95 insights can wield. It is also rumored that Goblins have items similar to those used by their woodland cousins, but it has not been verified. In the Undine field, the orcs have many sought after items. The Orc helm requires a wearer of at least 96th insight, but actually enhances the strength as well as the armor. The Orc helm does however seem to impede mobility and even cognitive ability of the wearer. The orc's Giant Stone Axe is a huge unwieldy piece of sharpened stone affixed to a wooden shaft. Only a 93rd insight warrior proficient in the use of two handed weapons may use it. The Giant Stone Club also requires two hands and a warrior of 95th insight. The next item is of unknown origin. The anonymous source refused to reveal where he uncovered this rare find. The Primitive Spear can be used by any Aisling of 49 insights and is nearly as easy to use as the goblin weapons described above.
Mileth - Last night, a daring thief penetrated Mileth bank and made off with a number of rare and valuable goods. Cassidy, the higgler of Mileth bank, was awakened late last night by a noise he describes as "the sound o' a big bag o' gems fallen' on the floor." Cassidy went to investigate the sound. "She was a lovely young lass," said Cassidy, "with red hair and a lavender brigandine. Before I could get a good lookit 'er face, I was blinded!" Mundane Guard Captain Guy stated, "An Aisling rogue set a blind trap for poor Cassidy. We're positive it was an Aisling. Mundanes just don't do this sort of thing." Captain Guy assures that his top mundane guards are on the case. Aisling guards are not involved since Cassidy was not standing on the stolen goods and therefore it was not theft by Aisling law in Mileth. It is not yet known if there is any significance that she wore a Loures Brigandine. Captain Guy refused to speculate whether the kingdom of Loures was involved in the robbery.
Piesin, Mundane son of Cedric, the Mileth Mundane Burgess, made a record last moon for sleeping longer than any other Mundane or Aisling in Temuairan history. Piesin slept for 2 Double-moons straight, with an occasional wake for a piece of bread and glass of water. When questioned as to how he made himself so tired, Piesin simply laughed and said, "Before I began sleeping, I caused a shortage of wine in Abel." The Mundane is proud of his record, as is his father who stated "That's my son for ye!" Kornsage says to Viriane, "Your so sweet! I love you!" Layla says to Deoch followers, "Spread Deoch's flame!"
